Only a few days left before a new group of students embark on a new school year. Hang on! It's going to be a grand adventure! This year, my partner, Deb Pawlak, and I will put our years of experience to the test. We will combine classrooms to explore and develop our version of a personalize learning model. What is personalize learning? The goal of our blogs will be to help describe the elements of our model and share the experiences we encounter as the program evolves. In my mind, this is learning at its finest, and it is exactly the same mindset we anticipate will be adopted by our students as they learn to learn and love to do it. My motto: Be safe, be kind, learn lots, and have fun. Lawrence Pearsall Jacks writes, The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both. |
